On Monday, I’m building strength under a barbell. On Saturday, I’m building endurance on my Gravel/Mountainbike. Some say that the quest to effectively balance strength and endurance will leave you as either a weak cyclist or a weak lifter.
But what if you don't want to be either?
Welcome to The Attainable State. This isn’t a blog about perfection, six-packs, or podiums. It's a Journal documenting my search for an Attainable State of being: strong enough, fit enough, and most importantly, happy enough. It's not about winning, but about enduring. It's about training for longevity and living a resilient life, somewhere in the realistic zone between the couch and the finish line.
I'm not a pro, a coach, or a sponsored 'hybrid athlete'. I'm just a regular guy with a busy job and a family. Fitness doesn't rule my life; it's the tool that helps me live my life better. Sometimes I'm disciplined, often I'm not.
What can you expect here? Honest stories about that balance. Experiments with training and nutrition, without the dogma. The search for gear that just works. No perfect pictures, just the unfiltered reality of training 'in between everything else'.
This is my public experiment to figure it all out; a search for 'good enough' in a world that demands 'perfect'.
If that sounds like a journey you're on too, then join the conversation.
